About Dr. Maurice Jové

Dr. Maurice Jové, M.D. has been practicing Orthopaedic Surgery for over 30 years. He specializes in General Orthopaedic Surgery, but specializes in Hip, Knee and Shoulder Replacement as well as ACL, Rotator Cuff and Labral Surgery. Dr. Jové trained at Grady Memorial Hospital and was the Cheif Resident. Dr. Jové has passed all re-certification examinations and is a Diplomate of the Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr Jové enjoys to travel and carries on the tradition from his father, Dr. Julio Jové, M.D. who began the practice in 1968. Dr. Jové has priviledges at Dekalb Medical Center and courtesy priviledges at Eastside Medical Center.
Dr. Maurice Jové has pioneered many techniques in Orthopaedic surgery. He helped develop the "Anterior Cut First System" for multiple companies to better position implants during knee replacement. He was among the first surgeons in the world to adopt arthroscopic surgery when it was starting. Dr. Jové is one of the most experienced surgeons in the country with over 30 years of experience. Dr. Jové has been a strong supporter of the anterior based approach to the hip. |

Dr. Maurice Jové is the mind behind the Orthopedic joint Solutions Center at Dekalb. Dr. Jové saw a large need for better care for joint replacement patients. Although care is tailored toward the individual, aftercare after joint replacement requires skilled nurses and skilled physical therapists dedicated to Orthopedic rehabilitation. In 2006, Dr. Jové, along with the administration at Dekalb Medical, created the Joint Solutions Center at 2200. With thousands of joint replacements having passed through the Joint Solutions Center, Dr. Maurice Jové has continued as the lead physician monitoring and improving the program to this day.
