Dr. Farhan Malik joined Excel Orthopedics when he moved to Atlanta in August 2011. He provides outpatient sports medicine care as well as inpatient medical care for the Joint Solutions unit at Dekalb Medical. He is certified to manage athlete concussions as well.
Dr. Malik attended University of Kansas (B.S., Chemical Engineering) and Saba University (M.D.); he then did his family medicine residency at St. Francis Family Medicine in Richmond, VA. Finally, he completed his sports medicine fellowship at University of Nevada-LV.
Dr. Malik is an assistant team physician for multiple high schools; he is also a ringside physician for the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission. He has been a ringside physician for over 20 events, including UFC, Bellator and boxing.
Outside of work, he enjoys football, basketball and MMA. He also loves spending time with his wife Azra and children Zayna, Iman and Faiz.
