​🩻 What Is Avascular Necrosis?

Avascular Necrosis (AVN), also known as osteonecrosis, is a condition where bone tissue dies due to a lack of blood supply. Without treatment, AVN can lead to joint collapse, chronic pain, and arthritis. It most commonly affects the hip, shoulder, and talus (ankle).

🧬 Causes of AVN

AVN occurs when blood flow to a bone is reduced or interrupted. Causes may include:

• Talus (ankle): Less common, but highly debilitating due to weight-bearing demands
